We are a key center of AI expertise within the US government, and are hiring programmers, ML engineers & scientists, and more. I've found the past 13 months working here impactful and rewarding.

The Team:

We have a unique concentration of talent in USG, including former frontier lab technical staff, folks from MIT/Berkeley/Harvard ML PhD programs, world-class cyber & bio experts, and a Y Combinator founder of multi-million dollar startups. Our staff has previously co-invented RLHF, discovered the reversal curse, and built Inspect and RStudio.

The Work:

Developing AI capability and security evaluations (e.g. cyber capabilities, agent hijacking, backdoor detection), red-teaming, and briefing leaders across government. Our mandate includes monitoring frontier AI for national security risks.
